1999 Foi O Ano Mais Rentável Para A Venda De Música

Um estudo recente feito dos últimos 30 anos no mercado musical trouxe resultados interessantes.

O Chartrdaily, um site que analisa dados da indústria e cria infográficos com eles, divulgou nos últimos dias uma pesquisa sobre a venda de música nas últimas três décadas.

Além de constatar o óbvio sobre a queda monetária após a entrada do streaming, o site ainda divulgou que o ano de 1999 foi o mais rentável de todos. Foram mais de 21 bilhões de dólares lucrados, apenas nos Estados Unidos.

A informação é curiosa, já que 1999 é justamente o ano de criação do Napster, a plataforma de downloads que mudou para sempre o mercado e ditou o clima dos próximos anos. Vale lembrar que foi esse o site processado por Lars Ulrich, dos Metallica, por distribuição ilegal das músicas da banda.

O estudo ainda mostra que a venda de discos de vinil representa apenas 5% dos lucros actuais na indústria — uma surpresa, já que o boom do meio no mercado vem chamando a atenção nos últimos anos.
